A minute with Sixty Ink's Claudio Traina
This 'Minute with' we chat Sixty Ink owner and tattoo pimp - Claudio Traina, who frequents some eye opening venues.
Best spot you’ve hit lately?
Thirteen is one of my go-tos - it always delivers. But when I’m in the mood for something more on the ‘80s commercial side, I’ll head to Theatre Arts Club. That said, my favourite dive bar hands down is Slim Jim’s in Angel. Total chaos in the best way.
The last thing you ate that blew your mind?
Sunday roast at Blacklock. I’ve developed a bit of an addiction - comfort food on another level.
Best member’s club to arrive to – at midnight?
Honestly, I’m more of a rock bar or live concert kind of person than a clubber. I usually DJ in clubs rather than party in them. I’ve got a soho club membership, but to be real - clubs are overrated. I want something more grounded, somewhere you can actually talk to people and have fun. That said, The Box definitely left an impression...
Best place for a coffee?
I don’t drink coffee or caffeine, but if we’re talking tea and scones - there's a hotel in Covent Garden which is my go-to. The best I’ve ever had, no competition.
Your favourite cocktails and where to drink them?
I drink by the seasons. Summer is all about piña coladas, winter I’m into negronis or Americanos, spring is vodka soda with lime, and autumn is a wild card - last year I was on a cosmopolitan and martini kick. But my all-time classic? Jack and Coke. Can’t go wrong.
