Jake takes us on a trip from old school hip-hop to rock and disco. Bringing his blend to Denmark Street for the second time – he’s also played under his pseudonym djdeathsround. Jake’s eclectic mix is what your weekend have been missing all along.

Thurs 21st November, from 8pm until late
Founding member of Mercury prize nominees Young Disciples, Femi Fem has DJ’ed for George Clinton, Prince, Gil Scot-Heron, Janet Jackson, Stella McCartney, Ozwald Boateng & Jade Jagger. Playing party jams and mixing up grooves across Funk Acid Jazz Disco Hip Hop House Afrobeats and a touch of Reggae.

Pulling together what he calls 'songs in the key of vitamin D' his DJ sets blend old school funk and soul with rock and he’s played from Soho to Ibiza. As a London based singer and guitarist, Marc’s currently appearing onstage with Black Sabbath - The Ballet.

DJ: LAUREN VERGE RETURNS TO THIRTEEN FOR DISCO, FUNK & SOUL

Lauren returns to Thirteen to play a selection of favourites from her eclectic and feel-good record collection. Having curated music for brands and festivals around the world, as well as with internationally renowned artists and labels, Lauren is also a globe-trotting DJ in her own right. Playing across Europe and the US and just about every East London institution (ever), Glastonbury, Ibiza and beyond.

DJ: EDAMAME PLAYS THIRTEEN

Playing an extensive back catalogue of Balearic grooves and global nu disco edits alongside cutting edge Italo house. Their love of hidden gems and genuine enthusiasm for all corners of the globe means curated and eclectic DJ sets that cover diverse cultures and musical landscapes.

DJ: ASH RAH PLAYS SOUL, FUNK & DISCO
Sat 30th November, from 8pm until late
Ash Rah wears many hats in the music industry, serving as a Radio Host, Artist Manager and a well-known face behind the decks at London's classier musical establishments. He holds a residency at Lost Village Festival, and can often be spotted lugging his record bag around the UK and beyond. His DJ sets go deep whilst traversing different rhythms and textures from around the world.

Tues 3rd December ROUGH TRADE from 630pm
New to Denmark Street at No. 24 - Rough Trade are an independent purveyors of great music, since 1976. They first opened in 1976, west London, on the doorstep of punk. 44 years later, Rough Trade are still celebrating the most exciting new music. Their very own Indi Li - born and raised in London and Brit School attendee, Indi's is a true product of her environment, absorbing all her surroundings and taking inspiration from the likes of her childhood musical heroes Mariah Carey and India Arie. She’s worked with working with some of the UK’s finest writer/ producers including Fred Cox (Paloma Faith, Tori Kelly), Louis Mattrs (James Vickery, Mahalia), Ryan Ashley (Flo, H.E.R), Jake Tench (Victor Ray, Debbie) and Maths Times Joy (Nao, Sinead Harnett).

Located at No. 4 Denmark Street where the team believe that buying a guitar here on Denmark Street is more than simply buying an instrument, it’s a culture, a way of doing things and perhaps more than anything it’s a respect for the time where, instrument in hand, musicians would walk down the street, trade songs, record in the studio, have a coffee at La Giaconda, jam with legends and then play on stage at 12 Bar. Performing live and named after the seminal Little Feat tune, the official Regent Sounds covers duo - Truck Stop Girls will play everything from tasteful 60s and 70s folk/country rock to tasteful 60 and 70s folk/country rock.

Spend some time with him at the shop and at some stage you’re going to buy something, whether you play or not. Drenched in culture from across the ages, we popped in and nearly left with a Fender Nocaster, which has a backstory in and of itself. Pulling together what they call 'songs in the key of vitamin D' this live set will blend genres. Marc Hayward is a London based singer and guitarist, who's currently appearing onstage with Black Sabbath - The Ballet.
