The story

Located in the upper floors of buildings synonymous with Denmark Street lore, these two bedroom apartments boast versatile layouts and sprawling living spaces with dark wood panelling perfectly offset by the kitchenette maxi-bar. Evoking an atmosphere that embraces bold and psychedelic colours, each Two Bedroom Deluxe Apartment offers unrivalled opulence.

An all-encompassing bolthole from the ordinary, high up and watching over happenings below the living spaces offer a complete escape from everything. The elaborate custom made headboards promise an illustrative design aesthetic that bends time and place, bringing a little modernity to psychedelia. Layers 60s, 70s dramatic design cues and culture to reflect the era’s playful avant-garde, rich colour palettes are spread across elegantly curved furnishings; from a wet-look, peacock blue sofa to statement chairs upholstered in vivid palm or leopard print add to the retro colour scheme.

Through texture, finishes and striking palettes many of these apartments sit above Denmark Street - the one time home of EMI’s publishing division and then later Acid Jazz, the label Gilles Peterson and Eddie Piller founded. The label was known by its talent, the likes of Brand New Heavies, D* Influence and Jamiroquai. Even releasing a record “Bumping on Denmark Street”, the label understood the street and its power. A culture clash of acid jazz, reggae, punk, rock, blues against a backdrop that also housed Gibson’s headquarters, London’s biggest saxophone shop and where the UK’s biggest cult comic shop – Forbidden Planet, first started out. But crossing culture and blending disciplines is what this street has always been known for, with a veritable who’s who passing through its doors. In addition to this the category also offers one unique layout located on Flitcroft Street and in an indulgent gothic aesthetic. With unrivalled views of St Giles-in-the-field Church at one end and bustling courtyard spaces and the London skyline at the other.

A few of our buildings have original staircases while some apartments feature narrow and short door heights – which have been retained and restored due to their heritage status. That said, we appreciate this may be restrictive to some, so please do let us know if you’d like further information.

The 75-inch screen complements the sound system, courtesy of world-respected audio manufacturers Void and Artcoustic, touching the imagination of similar spirited music lovers. Statement bathrooms feature a large walk-in shower with marbled floors. While bronze and brass finishes across taps, faucets and shower heads make for a classic aesthetic rooted in contemporary style.

Whereas our reimagined perspective on the traditional butler, or BTLR, means a team of proudly impassioned individuals ready to meet any rhythm. Insiders in every sense of the term their unique character sets them apart, allowing them to measure the mood and match it to the moment. Bringing Chateau Denmark together with the district and the wider neighbourhood, they’re always in sync. From channelling the good times to facilitating escapism, their “little purple book” ensures more than simply service.

The bathroom amenities have been created from a partnership with Soapsmith, who have been making scents of London since 2012. Celebrating the street as a scene for musical discovery, creative expression and alluring rebellion. The provocative cocktail of promiscuity, filth, fury and rhythm captivates the senses from tip to tail. Designed by Soapsmith, the Denmark Street London range bottles the street's passion for ripping up the rulebook while strutting to the beat of its own distinctive drum.
